Feng Shui - North Sector
The Trigram for North is KAN and the Lo-Shu Number is 1. The corresponding element is Water.
When discussing about the benefits of Feng Shui, we are referring to creating accumulative positive energy and eliminating the negative energy or Sha Chi. The standard requirement of achieving positive energy, one has to ensure the area of wealth to be clean and tidy without unnecessary obstructions.
Since North Sector has an element of water, it is good if you can introduce a water feature as as a Fountain or Fish Aquarium to stimulate the flow of Chi. It is normally recommended to have nine Gold Fishes with One to be black and Eight Gold Fishes.
Maintaining a fish aquarium can be hectic for working people. It can be substitute with a picture of One Black and Eight Gold Fishes. This will not be as good as having the fish aquarium but it still create positive effect.
North Sector is symbolize support for Feng Shui, therefore by placing a dragon tortoise will activate the water element and giving you the mountain support.
It is commonly known that the element - Metal will strengthen water (the cycle of productive element - metal produces water, water produces wood, wood produces fire, fire produces earth, earth produces metal) therefore by placing the hollow metal tubes windchime will activate this sector and attract success and prosperity.
In your work place, sitting on a high back and arm rests chair provides you with the support thus helping you the amplify your authority and power in your office. Your office desk should be located diagonally from the door and the back of your chair should have a complete wall instead of windows otherwise you will lack of support. If you have no choice then you can hang a picture of a mountain behind your chair on the wall / windows.
Placing a 3-legged toad with a gold coin in the mouth will enhance the attraction of wealth. You can place it on your desk facing you to symbolize wealth going your direction. Amethyst crystal will activate good feeling and harmony. It will also inspires stability, strength and inspiration.
Fengshui in Mandarin word is said to be Wind for Feng and Water for Shui. Therefore the terms for Fengshui is all about Wind and Water. Fengshui is also related to the flow of 'Qi' or 'chi' similar to the practice of 'Qigong'. This ancient Chinese Art of 'Qi' flowing into one's house and the placement of objects or furniture will have the effects of good or bad for the household. Fengshui is having the energy or 'qi' travelling into your house and settle down to retain Good Fortune & Wealth.
Fengshui is also related the 'Yin' & 'Yang' that refers to the principle of Heaven and Earth in harmony. Fengshui is to create the element of balancing between both 'Yin' and the 'Yang'. To have the best orientation to avoid bad 'qi' and receive auspicious 'qi' is what Fengshui is about.
Fengshui is classified under two schools - 'Form School' and 'Compass School'. It is always good to learn either one of the technique first and combine it. It is known that the Form School is the study of the Four Symbolic Animals i.e. Clockwise direction is the Turtle (back), Dragon (left), Phoenix (front) and the Tiger (right). The 'Compass School' has two classifications i.e. one refers to the East / West System or the 8 Mansions and the Flying Stars System. This is specifically comprised of four aspects: House, the Environment, the Person and the Time. Feng Shui is not completed without utilizing all the above conditions. The most accurate diagnostic, Feng Shui analyzes precisely how a house and environment supports the person and duration of the time period affects the house and its occupants.
Feng Shui can be said as a concept of logic and when applying Fengshui in your office or your house, bear in mind that it has to have a balance between 'yin' & 'yang'.
