Feng Shui - How North-East Sector Affects You

The Trigram for North-East is KEN and the Lo-Shu Number is 8. The corresponding element is Earth.

When discussing about the benefits of Feng Shui, we are referring to creating accumulative positive energy and eliminating the negative energy or 'Sha Chi'. The standard requirement of achieving positive energy, one has to ensure the area of wealth to be clean and tidy without unnecessary obstructions.
The trigram Ken denotes the youngest son - small earth and it signifies the successful pursuit of knowledge thus it is conductive to study and research work. The sitting position of your back should not face the door (instead be a full solid wall) and it will be best at a position where you can view the door diagonally. It will be best if you have a picture of a mountain behind your sitting position to signify support. On the study table, it is advisable to be clean & tidy. The location of your desk should never be under a beam above.

At your study desk, please avoid having open shelf above you in the front as the edges are considered as 'sha chi' or 'poison arrows'. It will be better having a closed shelf or you can use a cloth covering it like a curtain. The North-East sector is earth, therefore placing a earthly material like pottery, stones, etc in this area will energize your goals and aspirations. The productive cycle is fire produces earth, therefore using red color decorative items will enhance & energize the area further. Remember not to overdo it as it might be bad. Ensure your study area is well illuminated to gain the essential balanced energy. Placing a crystal on your study table will create a positive 'chi' energy.
